Notion Clipper is a browser extension that saves the page you're viewing — optionally with a screenshot — into a Notion database you choose. This page explains exactly what data it touches and where it goes.
Only when you click the extension icon or use the right-click "Save selection to Notion" menu: the title, URL, and any text you've selected on the current tab. If you choose to capture and crop a screenshot, that image stays local until you save. The extension never reads any other tab, and never runs on pages you haven't actively acted on.
When you save a clip, the extension creates a new item in the Notion database you selected — including the page title, URL, any selected text, and a screenshot if you added one — using your own Notion account (connected via Notion's official OAuth). This goes directly from your browser to Notion's API. The extension never sees or stores the contents of your Notion workspace beyond what's needed to show you a list of your databases.
If you upgrade to Pro, the license key you paste in is sent directly from your browser to Gumroad's license verification API to confirm it's valid and still active. Nothing else about you or your usage is sent. This check has no access to your Notion content.
We run one small server function with a single job: completing the OAuth handshake with Notion (exchanging an authorization code for an access token). This server does not store, log, or have any access to your Notion content, page data, or saved clips. It has no database. Requests to it include a fixed, non-personal build identifier we use to detect unauthorized copies of this extension's code — it contains no information about you.
Your Notion access token, your last-used database, your Gumroad license key (Pro only), and any clips that temporarily failed to send (kept for automatic retry) are stored in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data stays on your device and is never transmitted to us.
No analytics, no ad trackers, no selling or sharing data with third parties, no reading your browsing history, and no access to any page unless you explicitly act on it via the icon or right-click menu.
Click "Disconnect" in the extension popup to remove the stored Notion token from your device at any time, or "Remove license" to clear your Gumroad license key. You can also revoke this integration's access directly from your Notion workspace's connection settings.
